While working Japan years ago, I bought this ciggie pack simply because I couldn't shake the absurdity of the branding. Decades later, this inspired this original painting- a contemporary reimagining of an everyday object that says far more than it first appears.
Inspired by an authentic Japanese Peace cigarette packet I collected whilst travelling through Japan years ago, this original painting transforms an everyday object into a bold contemporary artwork. The elegant gold emblem, deep midnight blues and typography create a striking composition that feels both nostalgic and modern.
